Local thrift store has this sectional for cheap and I'm torn. Do you love it or hate it? I'm struggling to describe the style -- moroccan?
The tag says Prestige furniture Corporation, a division of Bassett. Anyone have any info on this piece? Much appreciated!

Fugly,
but also highly likely to show up on Apartment Therapy spray painted glossy white and reupholstered in a large, stylized floral print. Ten percent of the comments will be from people who liked it better in its original state.

Well...it's not to my tastes, but I guess it all depends on what else you have in the room it would go in. It COULD work and look cool. Independent of context though, I'm not into it...

guess it's unanimous..
My wife is vindicated. No one out there finds this appealing at all? The pillow pattern is off but I kind of like the yellow velvet and the style of these. But if it's unanimous -- including my wife -- guess I'll hold off.
My wife likes spanky's comment about apartment therapy.

It's the arms
that are really offensive. Godawful Spanish-revival-ish. But the cushions have a great shape. I could see it in a young lady's sunroom painted hot pink with a pink and lime green fabric. It would be cute.
Something tells me, SteveK, that you are not a single, female hipster, therefore, you need to just let it go.

Stevek, if you buy the sofa I'll buy the matches and gasoline, just saying.

Not fugly.
Mofugly.
I think I remember seeing one just like it in Bob Guccione's kid's dorm suite at Harvard in 1983. No kidding. Or was it Vassar? Either way, I'm certain of it, pretty much.

While not
While not my style I think its got character and would be far better to have than anything from a regular furniture store now. I say if the price is right then go for it. You can always move it to the downstairs "rumpus room" later.

Oh my luncheon attire today
would blend seamlessly with Riki's sectional redo suggestion.
Do I look too masculine?
ps. lunch was tasty.
