The chairs were probably...
The chairs were probably manufactured by another company for sale in the Villency stores.
This reminds me of this article I read last year about Maurice Villencys grandson who thinks his gramps designed some Frederick Kayser chairs (see link).

foxxxy: Because the only identifier I'm able to work with thus far is the in tact Maurice Villency tag, I just called it a Maurice Villency chair, understanding that it was imported by them. But after reading that article, I see my little misnomer is totally unacceptable. I should've asked if anyone has thoughts on who may have designed and/or manufactured this.
