I saw an ad on the Boston Craiglist for this plastic coffee table produced by Enja of West Germany. I tried to look up the company, but it's as if it never existed. The only reference I could find was for a plastic butter dish on eBay, where the label says: HOCHWERTIGER KUNSTSTOFF ENJA WEST GERMANY. Sadly, this optimistic title proved wrong, since Enja's plastics were obviously not valuable enough to keep them in business! But according to the seller, whom I called for more information, Enja produced plastic products in the 1950s and 1960s, including (improbably) plastic coffee tables. I'm intrigued. Does anyone know anything about this company?
