Thanks, it turned out much better than I was anticipating. Perhaps looking at the drab wood finish and missing cane for six months lowered my expectations.
I also tend to acquire a greater appreciation for various Danish wood chair designs while getting up close and personal with them during the restoration process. It's then fun to try and capture certain curves and details through closeup photography, which have a different presence when viewed at a larger scale.
Anyway, the chair is back upstairs in the bedroom, and was greeted with a wide smile from me when I woke up this morning.

Thanks. I have two of the same chair that I plan to restore. I will keep my eye on the auction as I could use a new front stretcher, and a chunk of the curved cross-piece with the Johannes Hansen mark is broken off of one of mine. It would also help to have the woven seat, since it would show me how to do that as well when I re-weave mine (all my seat caning is missing).
