"Those shoes look like they're from Herman Miller," I said to the woman at the gallery opening last night. They did: soft black leather over the toes,
and a cantilevered heel. Brushed-silvery on top, then the short black cylindrical column, and the shiny disc on the bottom. (To get the effect, place your bare foot on the chair or ottoman's base, parallel with one of the spokes, toe toward the central seat support, and heel flush with the outer end of the spoke; now raise your heel an inch or two off the flat upper surface of the spoke.) "I call them my Eames shoes," she said. "They're German!" Then a swirl in the crowd swept us apart.

cool shoes, cruel shoes
Apparently some member of the Koolhaas family.
Try googling "Koolhaas shoes." Steigers are a bit more... decadent?
