Hi all,

At this moment i can buy an Eames Lounge chair + Ottoman for a nie price.
The chair is in rosewood and black leather.
The year of production is 1975.
The chair is in absolute top condition.
But......

The seller tells me it is an original "Mobilier international". ( he sent picture with label as proof )
It is not clear to me if Mobilier international (French) made imitaion back then, or produced under license, or imported from US.

TOP CONDITION, but is this an original???

Grtz,

Yes, it is an original.....I...
Yes, it is an original.....I think. See below from NY Times
Mobilier International, the 1950's pioneer in importing and marketing good 20th-century design in France, came to upper Rue du Faubourg St.-Honore in 1968, and others have followed since, making the street, and adjacent Rue de Berri, part of an area rich in design resources. (The most convenient Metro station for this neighborhood is St.-Philippe du Roule.) Mobilier International's classic showroom, where their own productions are shown, includes an American favorite, the Eames chair, in molded plywood and leather; now it is available in bright red or blue leather ($2,570, matching ottoman $1,000). But Mobilier also carries designs by well-known French designers such as Jean-Michel Wilmotte (a metal and black walnut desk is $4,670) as well as other European imports: a black ashwood coffee table, for example, with sliding triangular panels that open to reveal a bright red undersurface ($1,800), that comes from Denmark. (Mobilier International, 166 Rue du Faubourg St.-Honore; 43.59.08.40. Monday through Friday 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. and Saturday 9:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.)
Is this the mark?

It has always been my...
It has always been my understanding that Mobilier international acted as a distributor for Herman Miller and other high end design products in Paris. If you look at the links below, you will see what are clearly HM products that were distributed by Mobilier international.
That said, some HM items distributed through Mobilier international carried both the HM and MI label
