I have just been offered a Herman Miller RAR she'll with a black thin Herman Miller sticker on base. It also has a V and M. I am assuming the VM stands for Vitra for Herman Miller and was probably made in Switzerland for Europe. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across the black sticker. It has the Herman Miller logo, text, the registered mark and a '1' on it too.
It can be seen here... https://www.evernote.com/shard/s25/sh/266aef98-d841-4f64-b035-91a710827b24/671c7573e2e7188e3759bf719ad92860
Also, how much should I pay for a 1970's "original" shell on a reproduction base? It is from Vitra's first production license.

Yes i have 2 Herman Miller...
Yes i have 2 Herman Miller side chairs in brown fibreglass, they are embossed with Herman Miller and the logo and each have the black sticker with silver text , one just says 'Herman Miller' the other 'Herman Miller 1'. Hope that helps. If its in good condition i have seen them going recently for around £350 even more in some cases.

I'd say thats a little too...
I'd say thats a little too expensive to be honest, i've seen early Herman Miller rope edge models going for that price, sometimes a little more. Personally i would max say £400. £600 you are being ripped off in my opinion.

Thanks. I got some money off ...
Thanks. I got some money off and it's on it's way. Great condition. It's an absolute nightmare trying to find good chairs in the UK. I have seen pretty much all chairs fetching £750 and those were 1960's/1970's.
I will be keeping my eyes peeled for rarer models but the prices are bit steep too.
