I'm on vacation with my daughter and we stopped at McDonalds. I was surprised to see that the chairs, at least 30, were all Herman Miller ( and I checked too).

It's a good thing I don't live here or else I'd be tempted to see how many I could sneak out. 🙂

I was in one...
...In Aiken, SC recently decorated in a very similar fashion. Exterior architecture matched interior design as well.

Cortez, CO
I was surprised to see them, though it appears that they aren't unusual. It seems like every McDonalds I've been in has chairs that are bolted to the floor.

Meanwhile
My local Wendy's has these awful cheesy DCM-inspired plastic chairs.

Looks like McD's
has tried everything else, and now they're giving simple modernism a try ?
I like the episode of 30 Rock where Caroll the airline pilot tells Liz, "I'm taking off from St Louis. I can see the Arch from here -- oh, no, that's a half-burned-out McDonald's . . ."

I guess
I guess McDonalds probably gets a good price on those chairs for their franchisees. I wonder what they're paying per chair?

too little too late
ChadHahn,
I have posted this before. The Rock and Roll McDonalds in downtown Chicago has better furniture and lighting than most peoples homes. It is very impressive.

??
McDonalds should commission Chicken George to paint a portrait of a "crazed" Ronald McDonald eating a red meat sandwich while contemplating the marriage of Mid-Mod and Big Macs.
yup,

Finally
I actually get to see a pre- edited post by Mark. And it's different, I must say.
(Should we get House Kebab to price the chairs at McDonalds?)

Aw shucks, EamesHead.
I need to use my edit button so as to "sanitize" some of my twisted postings. Last year my invitation to the Design Addict's Annual Holiday Party didn't arrive until the day after the event...with the RSVP box completely scribbled over and postage due. I simply must attend this years gala.
See you there,
Aunt Mark
