Hi all,A while back I picked up an Eames Lounge Chair that's suffered a few drilled holes on the seat panel. I'd like to tackle the repair myself and am wondering what people think would be a relatively easy way to go about filling the holes. I have 2 options in mind. One is to fill it with wood filler and then paint to match the grain in the end. Another option is to use wood plugs which may seem too sophisticated for me. I'm leaning towards option one. Thought?

I think your best bet is going to be to epoxy the screw holes and paint to match the grain.
This video does a good job detailing the repair however I can't vouch on the final integrity of the chair.  The most important factor is the epoxy and the shock mount adhesive.

Yep, fill and inpaint. You can even scratch some "grain" into the fills to add texture and help to disguise them. Success requires some artistry, of course, but less-than-ideal attempts can be easily removed for another try.
And, yes, I agree that the clip M_Dennis87 posted is a pretty good basic tutorial. I used PC7 on my 670 7 or 9 years ago and it hasn't budged. I like that the guy in the clip formed fillets around the edge of the shock mount with the epoxy paste, warns against over-clamping, and recommends at least a 48-hour cure time. I also think these details are important.
Good luck!
