A quick question. Just to make sure. This chair is fake, Isn't it?

my guess...
it is hard to tell, but a few things are not correct/original:
1.) domes of silence
2.) the base is flater/lower than the original
3.) the Wood Looks very "new" to me. the leather Looks older.
4.) something with the armrest is wrong, the are usualy flat, not rounded at the end
5.) the backrest, combined with the armrest has a strange small angle...
6.) there are no Stickers on it, or traces of them, the Wood is too clean.
now it would say, it is not original!

At first glance, the issues I see are...
1) armrests are too thick
2) glides are too large / not original
3) base is way off (too flat, swivel mechanism is too tall)
4) angle on the back rest is too steep
5) distance between ears on the backrest and seat bottom plywood is off
6) metal headrest supports seem too long
It's very easy to compare
if you go to a site that sells the genuine thing and find the photos taken from the same angle as yours.
DWR has at least one photo that makes it very easy and a very obvious difference is in the base, as the two people above pointed out. I first noticed the difference in the stainless steel collar on the post---yours is much taller than on the real thing. Then the difference in height of the base jumped out.
