Hello, does anyone know if copies of this chair exist and if they are of good quality and true to the original? I love the chair, but at over 5000 EURO for an original by Vitra is a bit out of my budget.
Any thoughts, suggestions, experiences greatly wellcomed.

You dont think its a little clunky looking? I love the Eames, but I think they really missed with the Time Life chair. I'd go with the executive chair, even the soft pad chairs are sleeker.

Have you considered a 2nd hand / vintage example? You should be able to pick up a Herman Miller for much less than a new Vitra, might be worth taking a look on ebay as they often pop on there
I was reading a book the other week about the case study houses one featured a bright yellow leather time life chair I have to say it looked excellent not as austere as the black

I like the look...
I have always liked the look of the chair, it has the well made and high class look, plus you don't see it all the time. I'm not sure why it's $2800 USD, but still nice.
