Thanks Lucifersum good wor...
Thanks Lucifersum good work on your part .
I used 90 % of your letter and re summited it to the Eames office.
I for one appreciate the in achieve that you have taken to get the ball rolling on this letter writing campaign.
Hopefully but i doubt it that they will realize how dumb a move this really was, and if we can not catch them on this one, hopefully the
next one they pull out of the attic will be priced more reasonable, and within reach to the kind of people , Eames was searching for when he produced his mass produced furniture.

Yes!
Right on, brother, right on.
I was thinking about buying one of the Vira Nelson clocks, but they too are damn expensive....so rather than opt for a reissue with the battery, I'll hunt around for an original wind-up...or an electric.

nelson clocks
Yes, I think the Nelson reissue clocks by Vitra are another example of corporate profit at the expense of folks into design. Recently I had to good fortune to find a slightly used Nelson sunburst clock by Vitra for $80 (with some damage, which I quickly fixed). These retail for $340, and I would guess that there is about $25 worth of material in that clock, minus the movement, which maybe wholesales for another $25. Outrageous pricing, IMO....

look at the white on ...
look at the white on white they sell about 10 of the nelson clocks and they sure look like vitra copies the same quality,
I have about 4 vitra Nelson clocks and 1 white on white that i posted , and i was so surprised what a great clock it is.
I first went to the vitra store in NYC , and saw the clock for 350.00 i was gonna buy it but i was in the city for around 2 hrs and i always like to let things set a day or two before i whip out the old credit card
our friend said try white on white I went down to 26 st and although their stuff looks good i was disappointed at the construction of there goods. but i just fell in love with their clocks, since i had several so if any one wants a personal recommendation on the quality of the nelson clocks from White on White this is it,

Nelson Replica clocks
I have seen the non-Vitra replicas as All World Furniture in San Jose. They are a lot cheaper than White on white has them and most look really nice. They haven't been added to their website yet, but if anyone is interested, you could try calling.
