This weeking is the DWR warehouse sale in Union City, CA. It started today(friday) and ends sunday. Lots of good stuff, acutally the size of a flea market. I got a Vitra/Nelson turbine clock for $50 that was damaged, but easily fixed, and few other items. Most stuff is display, overstocked or damaged with lots of classics and even Flor carpet tiles new for $5. Info at www.dwr.com. towards the center left of the page.

I went there on the first day...
I went there on the first day and it was a disappointment! I had gone to 3 sales previous to that in the Bay Area when their warehouse was still in Ca but this time, I didn't see a lot of good stuff and whatever was there, it was still so expensive. I think DWR should come out with another line called DWB, Design Within Budget.

There are two DWR's that I pass on a regular basis, and I often joke with my friends that "I can reach all the design I want... its getting it out the door I have trouble with"
Altho they are very helpful in determining the comfort of a piece before buying it.
