I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with roughly dating some series 7 chairs I've just come across? I've seen them with the stamped plastic covers underneath, but not these ones so far.
It's simply a metal piece, stamped FH Danmark, with the Danish furniture control sticker.
If it helps, the chairs came over with a family from the UK.
Unfortunately they're missing a bunch of glides and spacers, but hopefully they're not too hard to find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You should never date...
You should never date inanimate objects. It's weird.

Not necessarily true
I dated a series 7 once, but it did not work out. It was way to fragile and so concerned about that thin waist. Talk about issues. Geesh!
Then I went out with a DCM. Far more practical. It was comfortable, relaxed and easy, just like we were old friends.
I once dated a pretzel chair. You don't ever want to go there.

This is an earlier production example with the metal caps.

I think they (Fritz Hansen)...
I think they (Fritz Hansen) switched to plastic caps in the late 1960's (1967?), so your chair is made prior that - since the paper sticker from the bottom is gone this is about as exact as we can get in effort to determine its age...
