It is a very common dining chair that was produced in the 1970's (age of the chunky oaks) by every retailer/furniture store around the world and there is probably no designer name involved.
It is not bad looking though and by the looks of the chair's bases, it looks like they stack (?), so you can continue to find more.
Keep them as it is or these are good chairs to personalize for your own use like stripping to bare natural light oak or lacquer with a color of your choice if worth your while.
If this style is your calling, the series of chairs by Vico Magisretti are the ones worthwhile tracking down.

The base with the bar at the bottom of my chair threw me. I thought it was a unique design element, because I did not see it anywhere else. I am going to try to stack them too. Thanks again!
