Bought a 1960's 70's, Danish Rosewood dining table today. It has no makers label as such but does have the usual foil, Made In Denmark label. Also on this label is an anagram logo of C L or it could be L C, as one letter overlays the other, I can't tell. This I presume has something to do with the maker. Can anyone identify or suggest who the maker might be ??

Rosewood table id
Hi there
The CL stands for Christian Linneberg.
I assume your table has legs that are attached with wing nuts and has a tray for storing the 2 leaves in the middle if the table underside?

That's the one
Simon,
Yes that's the table. Thank you for the heads up. I actually found a couple of other examples as a result of your information. One site also lists the designer as Johannes Anderson who I've also found more information on. He seems to have designed a few interesting pieces over the years. Not sure of his standing in the world of design though?

Johannes Andersen has made pieces of furniture, all in excellent quality. Especially this teak coffee table is really popular here in Denmark and always ends up costing around $500 at auctions (and even more in palisander):

more Andersen
I also know the where-abouts of a good Johannes Anderson piece. Infact I've got my eye on it in the hope the price will drop a little. Nice table, big price, probably worth it....I'll talk to my boss..

A link to nother one of Andersen's tables. And no, I don't know the people behind seller "design.addict" but they always have great Scandinavian furniture among their auctions and I like checking them out.
So Fanny, did you buy the Andersen coffee table?

Apt
M_Andersen, Apt name. Sounds like your suffering from the same problem as me " find it don't buy it syndrome ". I enjoy rummaging around to find these pieces however I find my budget just wont stretch to the better end of the market. I suppose the real joy is in the chase, better still if you find it at the right price..
