Hi, I picked this up at a yard sale. The lady stated it originally had a round glass top. This table base is 15" tall, and 20" across. Probably coffee table height? Nice match for the Miller lounge chair. It has real wood veneer. Not sure if the padded fabric is leather or vinyl.
I'm guessing Plycraft, but does anyone know? Any info appreciated. Thank you
Makes no sense
to me as a table base -- though I can't think of another use for these pieces.
Trying to upholster a concave surface is a fool's errand, as the fabric wants to stretch away from the surface -- as can be seen in the second photo. The correct technique would be to glue the fabric to a foam surface which in turn is glued to the wood.

Not my table.....Borrowed the images from this craigslist add. Maybe they can provide you and the OP with more info. Found it trolling through listings.
