OK, Pegboard...Qualifying parameters...
Glass top, biomorphic shape, no corners...I'm a klutz.
Wood base, walnut or wenge tonalities.
Not too airy, but not opaque either, like a slightly industrial or rough hewn feel.
Scale, 36" round-ish or a bit smaller. Will be paired with a Bendsten Neo sectional
Budget, preferably less than $1000...will spend more if I've got to
I like the Noguchi, Vladamir Kagan and Craft Associates. I've also toyed with the idea of a smoothed stump of wood with a disc of glass on top. Or a 6'x6' beam, cut into four even lengths and bound together in a square with glass on top. I don't really like any of the pix posted, sorry.
Thank you Fastfwd, but if it was as easy as a Google search I'd have been done with it years ago...

I guess my point was that this is something you have to do for yourself. If 150,000 options from Google won't help you, then onesie-twosie suggestions -- even from the knowledgeable and discriminating furniture afficionados on Design Addict -- won't either. If you've been paralyzed by indecision for ages, how is it beneficial to solicit MORE choices?
Plus, I don't care what you think of my furniture, so why should you care what I think of yours? I'm not going to be living in your house; it doesn't matter whether I think the Noguchi table is a cliche.
All that's important is what YOU like. So if you like the Noguchi tables, buy one. The HM sale is coming up in a couple of weeks; if you can wait that long, the table will cost just under $1150 from the usual sources, shipping included.
Must you always take the fun out?
I wanted input, I wanted feedback, I wanted support. I trust and value the people here and their expertise. Why is it a problem if I ask for help? You make me feel like I'm wasting people's time. I've spent years on this forum offering my time and my knowledge when it was asked for, why shouldn't I ask in return?

Sorry, didn't realize how much fun you were getting out of saying "No" to each of the 14 suggestions that people had made before I posted. There have been three more suggestions made since your last blanket rejection; I'll step out of the way so you can enjoy rejecting them, too.
And no, you're not wasting anyone else's time; I was only suggesting that you were wasting your own.
I mean... You say, "I wanted input, I wanted feedback, I wanted support."
Well, in your first post, you wrote "the ONLY one I have ever really liked is the Noguchi table", and I replied, basically, "So buy it."
Isn't that input, feedback, support? What exactly are you complaining about?
Given the additional info
I don't think some of the tables I posted images of would work well. The Platner I love so much (sorry woody, I did not mean to step on your suggestion, just espousing my passion for Platner) might not even be a great choice with the brushed nickel legs of your sofa.
I do think you can do better than a Noguchi. With your sofa and a cowhide rug, I think it really might be too cliche, or at least too easy. And I say this with all love and respect for the brilliant Noguchi coffee table (I really do think that it is possibly the best realized and most beautiful tables ever. Ask my friends, I've actually debated this with them!)
With your sofa lacking adornment, and a highly patterned rug, I'd think you need to strike a balance. I don't think you'd want it to look too stark or so busy. We used a cowhide rug in front of our sofa in our last place and our sofa was very sparse with no real detailing. We used a vintage Eames CTM and found that worked very well. The round shape made it easy to get around. The legs are slender, and the table has a very thin horizontal profile, so it did not obstruct your view of the rug. Not glass like you said you were looking for, but if I'm working with a new space I like to consider all possible options.
One other idea is the Kagan style "radius" table. Wood base with a metal stretcher and a 36" round glass top.
Oh boy
I type so slow by the time I've written my reply new posts have been made. I'm happy throwing out ideas and offering my opinion, and I'm not going to be put off if you don't agree or like my suggestions. But if you kids are not going to play nice, I'm not going to hang around the playground.
Pegboard, thanks for your help, but...
sadly...this forum just ain't what it used to be. I miss the the old crew and I'm beginning to realize why so many of them aren't here any more. I guess I'm a foolish optimist. This used to be a place where folks talked, exchanged ideas and shared knowledge and experience. Now-a-says its all snarky one-upsmanship, snotty putdowns, design pretension and just plain mean spiritednes.
So thank you, I appreciate you giving me what I was asking for. Constructive input, useful criticism and new focus on a problem that has stymied me for a long time. I've been stuck on the Noguchi but unable commit because somehow it just wasn't the right thing, but I couldn't see past it. I am refueled with new ideas, which, Fastfwd, is what I was looking for...

Olive. Follow your gut. The Noguchi is too easy for your Neo + cowhide paring.
+1 for kagan. And I never suggest kagan!
+ 1 for the CTM. I love that one, and while not glass, it is super slim in profile and even less expected. Even while being an Eames piece, bc it is only available in vintage.
Fastfwd is obviously having a bad day. He/she is normally not a huge prick. But sure is acting like one today. I think he/she is cloaking their actions in a skin of helpfulness, but is obviously being snarky and unhelpful. Maybe he/she needs a nap and a cracker and juice?
i own about 6 coffee ...
i own about 6 coffee tables. the eames round wood, the Noguchi, Planter wheat steel, Baker taylor coffee table . but i like the Noguchi the best, mine is made by Herman Miller with the name on the glass, at the end of the day you will be glad you own that one, trust me on this one.
GOT IT!!
I may get flamed for this, but Bernhardt really does have some GORGEOUS pieces. This may MISS on a number of your criteria, but it's beautiful.
