Does anyone know how to clean an H base on the eames Shell Chair? I was thinking some sort of metal cleaner, but I want to be sure first.

Ive been recommended
The handout from Herman Miller suggests using 000 steel wool to clean out minor scuffs on the bases. I'm currently cleaning up about 8 academic base shells with that method. it works well, altho it doesnt bring it back to a mirror finish.. more like bringing back a luster to the surface.. making it glow.

use never dull
Never Dull is a wading material impregnated with a rust and pit reduction polishing elements. I have used it on many chrome and painted steel items, including HM bases with great success.
