I bought this gorgeous Chromcraft dining set at an estate sale and can't find any information on it. I know the more typical Chromcraft sets, but this one doesn't seem to be on any of the design blogs or sale sights. Does anyone have information on this set? It looks great in my kitchen, but I REALLY want to know what to tell my guests who ask me about it (currently I look like an idiot when they do! Uhhh ... it is designed by the guy who designed the Star Trek chairs...)Embarrassing! 🙂
Thanks in advance.
Mel

Love it! I've got a very similar Chromcraft table (oval shaped) and blue/green vinyl chairs. Do you have a problem with your vinyl feeling 'sticky'? Mine do somewhat and I'm looking for a way to clean them without them feeling sticky. Wondering if this is from the vinyl breaking down?

Hm, how strange. I've not had the vinyl feel sticky on mine.
I've had two sets like yours, one in black and one in white, and never had a sticky feeling, either. Did they perhaps come out of a smoker's home? If so, that can leave a very tacky feeling on the fingers that is quite distinct!

In all due respect Mel,
That would depend upon what the smoker was smoking.
Best,

Yes, mine definitely came from a smoked-in home. Not sure if it was menthols or regular filtered cigarettes though, auntie Mark. 🙂
