Hey,

I have another piece I'd like to ID. The shop I'm helping at has a really beautiful teak chair with green upholstery. I love the chair...especially the arms. If I had the money right now, I would buy it, but alas, I wiped out most of funds on that Saarinen tulip table last weekend.

Anyhoo, here are some pics of the chair. Our first guess on designer was Finn Juhl, but we also thought possibly Vladimir Kagan. We would love to hear thoughts on the chair and it's designer.

craft associates
To my knowledge they are American made by Craft Associates. The only designer I'm aware of under that label is Adrian Pearsall(sp?). Not sure if he had anything to do with these chairs. I say these as there a number of variations of this exact style.

looks like walnut!
definately not juhl or teak.
groovy curved back though.......

Oops. I meant walnut...duh. Yeah, I really like the shape of the back too.

Would you have any idea how much a chair like this usually costs? I think the owner might have slightly over-priced this chair, and I'm trying to find some good pricing info also. The chair is in excellent condition...though the original fabric does have a slight stain on the seat.

And thanks, you are indeed correct with your ID of this chair. It is an Adrian Persall piece for Craft Associates. I did some web research on him and found several examples of this chair. Thanks!
