Hello,
I just bought this pair of chairs shaped like a ball.
Does that mean anything to you? Designer?
Furniture bought in France and dating from around 70/80

No idea about the...
No idea about the designer?
I went looking for them, there is no registration, they are made of fiber resin, enamel paint.
They were bought by the town hall of "Saint Sebastian sur Loire" (France) about 1975
I searched all my books and on the internet, I find nothing ...
Can be generic or unique?

like Ghyczy's Garden Egg Chair without a lid/backrest.

Not Ghyczy. Garden egg has a semi-circular indentation on the front to lift the top/backrest and a ridge around the top edge for to top to fit into. Just looked in Lutopie Du Tout Plastique and didn't find this chair.
