These were left behind in a house I just bought...
The house is circa early 60's too.

I can tell its rather old by the flathead screws that is used on the chairs. Its an older style screw.

I had a set of chairs with...
I had a set of chairs with similar tags, but I never ID'd them. They were a different style than yours are, and were oak and obviously American. Not bad looking though; I've included a link to the pics.

I am quite confident with my ID of the dining set. My assumption is that once you read my reply you Googled "stanley dinig set" and came up with a bunch of new furniture. Try "mid century stanley dining set" or "mid century stanley dining chairs" and you will have your answer.

I would agree with Stanley but the design seems to have been inspired by Harry Ostergaards chairs.
