Does not make sense
I looked at our CSS and the cabinets are right next to the clip screw, but not on top of it. I can see where you could easily damaged the cabinet if you shift it to one side or the other when installing it (it's safer to do it with two people to hold the weight and put it in position carefully) but it should not hit the screw head unless your uprights are too close together.
Could you please
post a photograph to serve as an example. I did that to around three of the large cabinets. Which brackets do you use for the cabinets long or short? I can live with the damage since we are going to keep these, however, we still have another four cabinets and when they are installed I rather not repeat this mistake. Thank you
Here you go
Couple quick cell phone pics.
I think you have mounted the uprights just a tad too close together. You should have room in the channel for two of the side brackets so you can have shelves or cabinets lined up together. One clip can support two side brackets and the channel is just wide enough for two. Looks like your bracket is in the middle of the channel and that is why the cabinet came down onto the screw head.
The length (or front to back depth) of the side bracket does not matter. Your problem lies in the distance between the uprights and where your side bracket is positioned in the channel and on the clip.
