Regarding 1000 Lights, I presume the two-volume set is more informative than the single book version. Does the set cover more modern designs?

To be honest, I didn't even...
To be honest, I didn't even know there was a two volume set. Mine is a thick squat paperback and has some good info on modern lighting. The Taschen 50's and 60's compilation of the Decorative Art Yearbooks also have decent sections on lighting.
If you interested in some more esoteric/hard to find titles let me know.......
