Wasn't Blizzard Primal Rage character?
What city is in ruins on background?

The weather today was perfect
so no blizzard... and the Baker sofa is still on my wish list. But if I won the lottery tomorrow I would probably be the high bidder on this Nakashima long chair come October 6.
Of course, it would be a genuine miracle if I won the lottery seeing as I never play.

Nelson Firestarter
I have looked online and haven't been able to find any info on how the fire starter is supposed to work, but someone told me that you kept kerosene inside that soaked the piece on the end of the handle and you would then light this and use to light the fire. Is this correct? Why would this device be needed instead of just lighting paper under the kendling? I have had my eye on one as well, but just wonder if I would actually use it for starting fires or if they are just nice to look at today. Any thoughts you are able to share would be appreciated.

I found an auction listing that says "Chip to ceramic element attached to wand (inside base)." So I don't think kerosene is the intended element there---seems like you would use the ceramic bit to create sparks somehow...?? I really don't know, but it's interesting.
ETA: never mind, you were right! A listing on 1stDibs says "Pour in the fuel, soak the flint, light the fire." The coiled handle is a way to keep the heat dissipated (think old stove lid handles), so you must just stick the burning flint into the kindling for a quick start. I guess. (This whole thing really appeals to my inner pyro, I must admit.)
dream chairs
I love this chair that recently sold from a great local mcm shop in town. I would go in and sit on it and dream it was in my house!
I'm working to put myself through college, so it was way out of my price range, but I am searching for a similar shape in thrift stores/ craigslist to eventually reupholster when I can.
