? What is the best way to resell merchandise which will net you the largest profit? Ebay? Auction House? Dealers? CraigsList?

? What have you guys personally had the best luck with???

I am still very new to the MCM club here and enjoy the thrill of the hunt. I really find the research/History/ and knowledge involved with this to be a rush. I figured that because I am just going to college right now ( I graduate next semester ) I would buy and sell a few pieces which I was not so attached to in order to make some extra cash (in order to have enough money to open up my photography studio)

In the past 2 months however I have managed to fill my entire house and i seriously need to start moving some of this stuff into bigger homes with people who will appreciate it...
I tried ebay with no avail due to my low ebay rating from it being a new acct. I contacted dealers but they offered me essential only 400 bucks for items they would list (LOWWW) at 2500 and i would still have to drive 3 hours....

I am starting to question the potential success of my miniature business venture HAH

? I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ?

......
i dont have that much experience in it really, but i would assume that anytime you can cut out the middle-man your that much better off...ive sold plenty on CL and people are rather stingy and flighty, but what can you do..with ebay, keep in mind that they take a cut, paypal takes a cut, so your already out some $$...the only exception might be auction houses, who will still get there cut, but might be able to present it to the right group of people, which apparently nets rediculous sums...im sure someone will be of more help, but id just use craigslist and market it well...

THANKS!
Yeah I have had a fair deal of shady craigslist interactions which is one reason why I am reluctant to post items for more than a thousand dollars :/
Ill sell on ebay the cut doesn't bother me it totals to less than 10% which is still a phenomenal deal...
And yes im looking forward to hearing some peoples advise experiences etc...this topic is not touched on very often..

similar place
I bought a new MCM house and began filling it with appropriate furnishings.
Now I have too much appropriate furnishings.
And I keep on finding good stuff! Some REALLY good stuff!
I have been using ebay and that is the best I have been able to come up with. I would love to deal with a SINGLE dealer, feed them items, but that has not worked out yet.
CL gives me the willies
For now, eBay seems the best. Unfortunately

I TO WANTED A SINGLE DEALER!...
I TO WANTED A SINGLE DEALER!
but when i contact some in the bay area they either tried to "screw" me essentially or they were not interested...Ive been debating trying to contact a dealer in new york or someone who can move product and afford to pay a realistic amount for my items....
When you sell ebay how do you list it for best success? No reserve?? buy it nows? or just fixed price for a longggg time?
This is a good topic 🙂
and yes craigslist is sketch put it this way when people come over to buy items I make sure I know where my pocket knife is :////

also can you explain how you go about shipping large items? glass top tables chairs etc???
Is local pick up a good idea or a waste of time if you only list it as that?

Ebay is pretty good for selling, however
shipping and packing is a colossal pain in the ass.If you have a large auction house within driving range to drop items off at,they do it all for you.
