Even though bananas aren't comfortable to sit on, they sure are pretty. Especially vintage ones with wear on the peel making the skin more supple. I prefer to call it 'patina.'

Banana's are in danger of going extinct. The genetic diversity of the trees has been so limited and inbred that the entire 'race' may not survive.
Yes, E.Coli is mostlikely the most important bacterium ever. Besides helping us maintain our internal 'ecosystem', the little buggies have made cloning possible and thereby huge strides in genetic testing and the diagnosis of genetic diseases. Of course, this also enabled GMO foods which causes so much bruhaha.

Bamboo
Sextants
Canned food
Penicillin
