gilhooly!
Eameshead! even a photo of the one you gave to your sister would be fun to see! Funny you should mention price. I went digging around the house for the one my parents had an found it. An enormous bagel with a frog inside. It still had the tag on it...$40! I couldn't believe it. There's a long backstory on how I came to get the recently acquired frog at the thrift shop. I saw it and thought "how weird that my mom's primitive looking frog art is here". Went home and thought, "that can't be right" and began googling "frog on a bun" and found Gilhooly! And then, RACED back to the thrift shop to buy it! I'm glad people have commented. I wasn't sure that it would get an "art" credit! best, pg.
Well it looks like
we really did a number over in that grossman thread... Glad mine didn't go like that.
As odd as it sounds, I don't let people into my private life much. I don't mind the business side, but I pretty much keep to myself with my inside belongings.
I could only take so much bashing of that poor little porcelain owl before I decided to show a small glimpse of a few of my personal possessions. I would tell him someone just ripped on him again, and he always replies: Who..Who..? So I know he's upset, and I must avenge him.
Why not though, I thought. I'm sitting around waiting with nothing to do while my new Bertoia shows up. No better time I guess to take a few snappies, and show the teachers, and guru's a bit of what I see as art.
Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, but here it is. If I do good on the HB at auction, I could get a larger place, combine both houses in one, and spread everything out a bit. That'd be cool.
This is a few rooms. A small portion. I apologize for the poor photo quality. It was just with my camera phone while I was waiting around.
I'm sorry
you don't like it Paulanna. I wonder what it could be?
Maybe the orange glass italian globe lamp, Lagardo Tackett egghead, Laurel rain floor lamp, the Louis Icart, Dan Murphy sculpture, Ericofon, Reggiani Spaghetti floor lamp, sciolari chandelier, Milo Baughman Dining Table with 4 chrome/lucite directors chairs, the aqua Plia Castelli folding chair next to the Pac-man machine, the Ingmar Relling siesta chair, the 7 arm chrome/lucite fiber optic floor lamp, the fantasia lamp, the.....
I left the shag rug out, so I just can't understand. I'm looking for kitsch, but... Hmmmm...
