Picked these up at yard sale today. They are kinda cool....the lady who sold them to me had to be 70 or older and she said they were here moms and that she had them recovered at one time. I have searched the web and cant find anything quite like them. Any ideas?

Any guess on age even? Or country of origin? All flat head screws, the chain looks kinda old. I have seen similar white rubber things on pics of chairs from the 30s 40s...are they that old? I can provide better pics if that might help
Thanks

I have a pair of chair sort of like this. Tubular with leather like seats, no arms. They fold. I've seen them online out there. Some say they are Italian, One says they are made in North Caroline.

So I had kinda given up on finding anything about these chairs but then I stumbled across this chair by accident. This is the only chair with arms that retract like this that I have seen and these are pretty dang close. Also very similar in style and construction. This chair is designed by Edgar Bartolucci and John Waldheim. Can find very little info about these designers or the company that made these chairs "Ralph Elliott Co." Hoping for some info or someones opinion on if these chairs could be by one or both of these designers.
