I have just purchased a set of six chairs like this one, they are steel with chromium plated steel frames. The dealer that sold them said he thought they were by a US designer that was associated with Los Angeles airport ?? Any help would be much appreciated

Thank you Can you...
Thank you Can you recommend a good website or book to identify similar retro furniture ? I think my chairs are 1970s vintage, is there any market for these older models ?

I am personally
familiar with a shockingly limited number of classic modernist chair designs. This is one I have enjoyed; for an un-upholstered all-metal chair it is delightfully comfortable. An architecture office I worked in c. 1970 had some of these, in beige.
Unlike the Eiffel base (for instance) here we have the bare minimum of material arranged for the maximum of sturgidity*.

Agreed, SDR.
The art school I attended in the '70's had them everywhere and 40 of them stacked are ridiculously heavy, yet surprisingly easy to move about on the special dollies.
