Over the next few days I will post items that I need a bit of information about. To start off I purchased this Knoll table and my question is related to the table top. Is it rosewood or walnut? I wish that I had better lighting when these photographs were taken.
Secondly, did Florence actually design this table?
Thank you for your time.
Gehry Face Off table.
The Gehry Hat Trick chairs match it, and the High Sticking chairs are ok around the larger size table... But those chairs are really pricey, and to me, all those maple slats would look unattractively cluttered.
I've got plastic Panton chairs around a marble Knoll dining table, so MY preference for the Gehry table would be something like a transparent acrylic or polycarbonate chair: Starck's Victoria Ghost or La Marie, maybe, or the (relatively) inexpensive Vapor Chair from CB2.
Photos, top to bottom, are Hat Trick, High Sticking, Vapor.

I agree with fastfwd
With a table as distinctive as the Ghery, you can either get the matching chairs, something that stands in stark contrast but does not compete with the table, or something transparent. Panton or bellini chairs in white might be a good choice. Conversely, the Aalto 611 chairs or Risom side chairs might match the light wood but be more restrained.
Looks as if you found a use for the table, eh Lenox...
Why don't you quit trying to play this thread off as an attempt at education now?
