Adrian Pearsall table base?

I recently made a gut decision and purchased this base because it looked interesting. Seems to be made out of walnut or teak. I can't tell which way is up or down either. Please Help.

While it certainly does...
While it certainly does appear to be Pearsall-esque, the shape and curves seem a little off to me.
It's not referenced on adrianpearsall.com either, although I have seen furniture in the Pearsall style with Craft tags that are not documented on that site.

Looks a bit like the base for a G Plan coffee table.

That's Adrian Pearsall
The black plastic protectors are where the glass goes, the pinkish ones on the floor.
