Also spotted a set of four, 1960's teak chairs with the stamp, AM 501 made in Denmark. Can anyone offer information on the manufacturer or designer ?

Simon, I'm a bit of a techno blob so can't work out how to actually post an imageon this forum. However I have created a link to the images.

Carlo Jensen ?
I had a teak dining table marked AM 28(?) at one point and I eventually found out it was designed by Carlo Jensen.
If you google Carlo Jensen youll find the table I owned in Rosewood with chairs that look very similar to yours.

Thanks, I couldn't find an im...
Thanks, I couldn't find an image of it searching Carlo Jensen, I was thinking Mogensen for a bit but definitely not after closer look. Any way I saw it on a CL ad with very bad picture and wasn't sure if it was worth the drive out to see, but it was cheep and after a little work should make a nice little side chair.

AM Denmark
My mark is just like yours and mine is on a model #12 J.L. Moller dining table. If that helps you.

AM Made In Denmark, AM is a member of the Gangso Mobler Family
Follow this link and it will show you all you need to know, the furniture is normally signed by the designers. I have a table with a B in the corner of one tile, B will be the person who designed the tiles. you can also look up Mobler furnisher, they are still current, they started in 1960
