hello,
i recently purchased these 4 chairs on a trip to the US west coast.
I was trying to find out more information on them and was surprised to find the pricing on the only one I could find for sale even though it is a firstdibs listing.
I do not know the age of these chairs? late '40's? 60's? Condition is rustic. I have found these referred to as desk chairs but found mine as a set of 4 so thought they were a dining chair? opinions?
It was also interesting to me that each metal base that the chair seat sits on is a slightly different size. Hand cut? Each seat base must be matched to the swivel base as each 4 screw eyes is at a slightly different distance.
Anyway, i get the feeling plycraft is not a very well respected manufacturer on the forum...is it the US furniture roots? the 'hand made' feel? I know that George Mulhauser designed for Knoll as well...was there a falling out?
