I had a very rare lamp, see? And I could not find it despite hours on google.
So I went to 1stdibs and searched under various phrases using the word lamp and other words...to no avail.
Preparing myself, I finally typed in "Lamp" and looked through all 122 pages, totaling 14,600 results.
Nothing.
Not a &^%* thing...
Then I type in "Light" with another word thinking to myself "It is a lamp, would someone on here leave out the word lamp in the entire listing and just have the word 'light'?"
and bingo...559th result.
Yay. Joy.
I am off to go throw myself of a bridge now. Maybe there will be lamps lined up upon the Bridge??? Oh, now that would be just...especially if in my obituary they call them lights and not lamps!!!!!!

I said rare. And by rare it seems no one has it to sell - which means it isn't around all that much which could mean it is despised, or a number of things.
I will think about posting it - it isn't going to impress anyone much.
The hunt is often shorter than the identification - unless of course you have only one goal when you're hunting and know what you're after from the start.

I'm curious...
Why didn't you first post the pic and just ask DA members to identify it? Granted, people here kind of hate when someone requests an ID if s/he's never posted before and apparently just registered in order to get an ID (often in advance of an eBay posting). But you're a steady, substantive contributor to the board.
Regardless, kudos for your independence and stamina.
