Hey everyone! I was hoping for a little feedback regarding these pictures, I've gotten really confused by all the different manufacturers and versions of this chair..

Seller states that these chairs was bought in 1992 for the equivalent of 970 USD a piece, and that's all I know:D

What do you think? The real deal?

The ends of the steel tube looks good, welded & polished, no metal caps. As long as who ever made these chairs followed how the originals were made, it is not as important. You can still buy pre sawn replacement leather parts, they require a bit of hardwork to put on. Nice find.

Hi

They certainly appear to be manufactured by Knoll. Post a picture of the "sled", specifically where the tube "seam" is located.

Best,

Aunt Mark

Also check the measurements.

seat 16.5"

width 31"

depth 27.5"

height 29"

Best,

Aunt Mark

ps What slaps me with doubt is the price the seller paid. Perhaps he is wrong....but list would have been $1800ish per chair that year. But maybe he/she bought them used? A common knock off of a chair, and the most uncomfortable chair that I own. I want to replace mine with something more practical, but it is a family piece that I inherited...so it stays.

hi.

also, each sled should have 2 glides (unless missing..then you'd have a small hole where the little plastic round glide used to be). So each chair should have a total of 4 little plastic glides. The glides are located inward on the bottom toward the steel seam...evenly spaced.

Carry on,

Aunt Mark

and then,

I've not read this tid-bit about the slings. From the Knoll ordering info book 1996.

then and,

Aunt Mark

Thank you so much for all the input guys, these looks to be legit:D

Got them at what can only be described as a steal, found out they were bought at Expo Nova, a relatively well known store in Norway.

They are the most beautiful chairs I know of, but goddamn if I don't wish you were exaggerating with how uncomfortable they are:D

Tried to upload some pica, but the filesize was too large, added some to an imgur album: https://imgur.com/gallery/sLQCH

Thanks again all:):)
