Hi,
I purchased a year ago a huge coffee table needing restoration.
Have been trying to identify the designer before I made a start.......and having looked at these for many hours I can similarities, especially on the rounded corners, with dining tables by Johannes Andersen, and coffee tables by Arne Hovmand Olsen and Ole Wanscher. However, I have not been able to find a complete definitive look alike.
Eager to understand who designed and produced this table which I take to originate from late 50's/early 60's. Dimensions are 150 cm long x 65 cm wide x 55 cm high
Any help on this would be highly appreciated....thanks

Thank you for your responses.
the danish control branding is on the underside of the table. There is also what i believe is inked producer markings but it has been stamped several times over in the same area so I cant decipher anything. Will post a picture of that later. But here's the thing, the underside which as got the markings on has got superb grain patterning. The top is also veneered but with very quiet grain.
I had considered flipping the table so that the impressed mark was ontop. Really in a bit of a quandary both as to who designed and made it and how best to go about restoration. Again any further thoughts/contibutions most welcome

Have uploaded 2 additional photos that I take to be several attempts to attached inked manufacturer details to the table which has ended up just looking like a jumble. If anyone can make anything from this or indeed from the other photos that helps identify designer and produced I would be much obliged.
Leif,
the top is undamaged.....but not very exciting grain wise. The danish control impressed mark and the hieroglyphics or various squiggles that I thought might be makers marks being randomly and repeatdely made are on the underside.....of course they could just be marks with no significance
photo? I am curious of the positional relationship between the random marks and the DFC stamp.
When you run a finger over the random marks are they indented? That is what it appears to me... And based on that it looks like something scraped the table there, perhaps when it was upside down during a moved. Later someone oiled it, and the oil darkened the wood beyond the original lacquer finish.
