Just got this lounge chair not too long ago and can't find any info on it. Partly because the seat had a hack repair job so there are no manufacturer marks. Just curious if any knows the maker, country and year it would have been designed. Also there is a palm fabric that is on the seat cushions is also attached to the back. I'm not crazy about it there and to me it does not look original? I think it takes away from the lines on the back. What does everyone think I'm curious to see what everyone thinks. Thanks so much!!

I don't recognize the frame, but I'm far from an expert on ID issues so that means very little.
But as for the fabric--definitely NOT original. The plywood decking isn't original either--the chair should have 2" wide elastic webbing. You will find lots of photos of this type of chair with elastic webbing online. There were different ways of attaching it to the frame but you won't know how yours was done unless you can find pics of an original or until you take that plywood off.
There would have been a loose seat cushion on top of the webbing. It should be the same width and depth of the seat frame and at least 4" thick.
The back would have had a loose foam cushion (maybe one with innersprings but more likely just solid foam). Again--tons of photos of tall back teak lounge chairs with loose cushions. They were extremely popular back in the day and many different companies offered them. The back cushion looks best in my opinion when it's 1" less thick than the seat, though you will find photos of chairs with same thickness seat and back cushions. (To me that looks a bit top heavy.) Also, when you make replacements or have them made (any good upholsterer can do this, doesn't have to be a specialist in mid-century modern), go with denser foam for the seat than in the back, otherwise the seat will feel too soft or the back too hard.
