Hi,

I have this Skobvy table of which I can find very little online. I was wondering if someone knew the model number or has a brochure or something? I am looking to get it restored and want to get the stain right. I can only find one reference photo but I am pretty sure the stain isn't right on that one as well: https://sweetmodern.com/products/danish-rosewood-dining-table-by-skovby/45824/c213/. They say it is a rosewood table in this link, but mine is made out of teak.

I have identified the chairs already (in the same photo) as Anderstrup AN78 chairs.

Thanks!!

Ian

If the dimensions of the table are: 55" long x 35.5" wide x 29.5" tall in its closed state, expanding to 102" long when open, then your model number is SM140T: "SM" for the maker's initials, "140" for its length in cm in the closed state (140cm equals roughly 55"), and I'm guessing "T" for teak.

I don't have a catalog, but just so happened to own this model a few years ago, which had a label on the bottom.

... and the table is not stained, probably some type of oiling. It looks like the previous owner left a table runner on it for a long time and the sides got more UV wear. If an oiling with 0000 doesn't smooth it out enough, the next step I would do would be to apply a mild stripping gel like Citristrip to remove all surface finish, and re-oil from scratch.
