Thank you! That is it indeed. I was going to bid, but it went over my (meager) budget. I'm glad at least to know that I correctly recognized it was something nice! The text of the auction said the chair would be great with a "new coat of paint." Luckily I don't think it'll be getting that anytime soon.

Yes, leif is correct. Peter Wessel was a retailer, based in Beverly Hills, California.

The chair was designed by Rastad and Relling, and probably made by their usual manufacturer, Gustav Bahus.

Thanks, they made some beautiful furniture, and their current website is pretty interesting. Offshore platforms! Who knew?
