Hi!

I recently aquired a set of vintage dining chairs. Can anyone help me identify the manufacturer, model and age?

The base is black and looks like plastic but feels more like wood. The underside is also a wooden contruction. Thank you for your help!

Looks like there was a sticker in the middle at some point.

Looks like Pierre Mennen FP3007 chair for Pastoe, 1972.

Thanks a lot! This is it! How could you identify these?

I've compared some features with other examples on the web and they are exactly the same. I think they are aesthetically very pleasing but the Dutch provenance definitely adds some more depth to them.

You're quite welcome.  Did an image search.  It is an interesting design with the frame described as  "shock polystyrene",  and the seat and backrest of "thermoformed wood".  They look like they'd be comfortable too.

So that's the secret 😛

Shock polystyrene... never could have guessed this. At first it feel rubberish/plastic and with a knock or firm grip more like painted wood. But they have a very straight up seating position which can be comforting... sometimes.
