I found this wonderful teak chair frame at a recent estate sale but have no idea who designed it. Did a thorough online search to no avail. I believe it may be Swedish given the rubber cushion supports. But can't be sure. There are no maker marks. Any suggestions of who might have designed this? R. Huber perhaps. Or maybe H. Wegner.

@armourdm Forget about Wegner.

If not Wegner, then who?

Good question. At first glance it looks like it was produced for the American market. Could be US, could also be Swedish but my feeling is US.

Any suggestions for possible online research sources would be helpful? I've looked at online collections, stores, image searches. But no luck.

@herringbone

I could be wrong, of course, but I don't think I've ever seen a chair made in the US with Pirelli webbing or Fagas straps.

The straps and fasteners made me think it might be Danish or Swedish, Nordic at any rate. The armrest design, with the elbow rests sweeping upwards, makes it particularly special. The 'bump' on the side bars meant to contain the seat cushion also seems singular. Could it be Ib Kofod-Larsen. Someone else?
