I found this wonderful teak chair frame at a recent estate sale but have no idea who designed it. Did a thorough online search to no avail. I believe it may be Swedish given the rubber cushion supports. But can't be sure. There are no maker marks. Any suggestions of who might have designed this? R. Huber perhaps. Or maybe H. Wegner.
@armourdm Forget about Wegner.
"People buy a chair, and they don't really care who designed it." (Arne Jacobsen)
I could be wrong, of course, but I don't think I've ever seen a chair made in the US with Pirelli webbing or Fagas straps.
The straps and fasteners made me think it might be Danish or Swedish, Nordic at any rate. The armrest design, with the elbow rests sweeping upwards, makes it particularly special. The 'bump' on the side bars meant to contain the seat cushion also seems singular. Could it be Ib Kofod-Larsen. Someone else?
