my husband and I found this chair at an estate this weekend and are hoping it looks familiar to someone or if anyone can attribute it to a particular designer, firm or manufacturer. we are thinking that it's modeled after danish design, but is in reality american or italian.
the frame is metal (steel?), the armrests are wood and the backrest swivels on hinges or springs that have since given out. there is no label or any markings anywhere but it does look as though there once was a square paper label affixed to the bottom of the seat.
anyway, any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

no idea who it's by, but...
no idea who it's by, but it's pretty nice never the less!
Since it looks as if it's made in cast metal of some sort, I would almost expect to find some manufacturers name or markings in the cast metal... Are you sure, there's nothing?
Hard to tell the age as well. The shape reminds me of other chairs from the mid-late 50's, but I can't name a specific one...
