Hi, I bought this chair a while ago to reupholster and I’ve not been able to identify it. It’s likely Danish and it has some writing on the seat back.
If you know its origin, maker or can point me in the right direction I would be so grateful.
Thanks for your time!
Best, Alice

They are a friendly, knowledgeable group; at the same time it might not be a well known design. If you are not on Facebook I could post it for you.

No need to follow the above instructions Alice! Went onto that Forum myself and searched for Vaksvik and I found your chair.
"This is a model called Leni produced by Beødr Furseth in the 60s." Posted by one Arvid Furseth. Apparently designed by his father Olav. " more pics of adverts for the chair. ( advert images courtesy of Bjorn-Kowalski Hansen)

@lexi So, looking at the FB post, am I reading it correctly that the person who bought this chair mentioned that he lives in the tiny town of Vaksvik and found it in a shop in Vestnes? Is that just a crazy coincidence or is the name Vaksvik otherwise associated with this chair?
Oh, I see with the additional photos you added that Brodr Furseth was located in Vaksvik, so poster was saying they were made not so far away from shop he found them.
And knowing the name of the maker now, you can make out the writing at the top as "Br Furseth" followed by some word I can't read.
@alicemuir1 Welcome to the Forum. The message you received saying you were banned is a glitch in Design Addict's system. I think we've all received it once or twice in error. You should be able to log in with your original name and password if you try again.
@alicemuir.@alicemuir1. I am delighted to be able to help you.
Where are you located? It is always interesting to see where in the world furniture has travelled to!
Would you allow me to post your photos on that FB forum? I am sure the Furseth family would be interested to see them especially with the label .
I hope you enjoy restoring it; that upholstery style was very common on Norwegian furniture.

Yes absolutely post the photos, I bought the chair in Stroud, Gloustershire, the guy I bought it from buys in Denmark but he didn’t specify where.
It’s incredible to have a family connection! My parents were upholsterers and they are the ones helping me with the project
Thanks again!
