and patricia, great catch ... thanks very much! it's been driving me mad trying to id this chair. spent my childhood in the uk and i remember my nan's house having parker knoll furniture when i was a kid ... absolutely the gold standard at the time.

Yep, I came to post that it's a Parker Knoll chair. I would hasten to add, although I am not particularly fond of them now, I would say that Parker Knoll chairs got me into actually BUYING mid century stuff, rather than just looking from afar.My first 'find' was one of their Danish style chairs.
