Hey all - I'm thinking about picking up this Juul Kristensen easy chair, but can't find anything online about it. I'm assuming its Hans Olsen because of its similarities to his easy chair for JK with similar sled legs and overall construction, and somewhat similar arms. But this obviously lacks the cane back, etc.

Does anyone recognize this design?

Thanks in advance!

Or perhaps most similar to this little rocker. Slat/spindle back, although different shape. And similar but different arms. I guess its most likely an Olsen design, I'm just hoping someone has some documentation.

It was made sometime after 1959 (and before the 1980s). Is that any help?

That helps to narrow down the time period, of course. Am I to take that to mean that it isn't rare/valuable/desirable? And are you saying that based on the danish furniture makers badge?

I'm simply curious if anyone has seen this model before or if there is any documentation of it. I don't know a lot about Juul Kristensen, save for the Olsen rocker I have. I imagine that none of the JK pieces are very rare.

Are you sure it's Hans Olsen? From a quick look at the furniture index, I could not find it. Maybe I did not look carefully enough. The design indeed looks 60-70ish... Do you know what wood is it?

Cheers

Ernest, I am not sure its Hans Olsen, its just a guess based on some of his other designs for Juul Kristensen as I've pointed out above. I also looked through the furniture index with no luck. My assumption is that its teak and probably afromosia, but again all guesses.

I like the thin pillows and fabric, they remind me if the japan chair. If you like the design and that's not too expensive maybe you can give it a go, and see whether after proper clean it finds a spot in your flat. Did you try the furniture index only with the producer?

@hope-brady I've found nothing conclusive and assume I never will...unless a trove of Juul Kristensen catalogs pops up at some point.
