Is this chair by Paul McCobb?  

I am considering buying this chair from a dealer who insists it's by Paul McCobb. It was recently reupholstered and is unlabeled, but the dealer says he purchased it from the original owner who had a house full of McCobb. The owner told him that McCobb did a lot of independent work with various furniture companies and that his creations were not always identifiable as his. If this is true, there could be lots of pieces out there that he designed that do not bear his label. Does anyone know whether this was the case? And does anybody recognize this chair? Thank you!
