Interesting Boho Industrial Barstool  

Spotted this funky bar stool at a local thrift store and can't really figure out it. It has a woven rope seat. The legs, which I initially thought was bamboo or steam-bent wood, might be made of metal and concealed with a faux wood vinyl covering. The leg rest is a metal rod that's wrapped with aluminum wire. The black feet look like they're molded plastic. A lot of different elements combined on this bar stool. What do you guys make of it? Is this some special vintage design or someone made it or an older Pier 1/Cost Plus product?
