That is a particularly un-revealing angle of the chair. More photos would help. That said it might be an Illum Wikkels

thank you so much, it is indeed the chair which you identify and i certainly agree on your comments on why it go under. now i have an idea how much to offer them.

i do like the chair but i am gonna overpay for it.

i will update with more decent pictures once i get into office on a tuesday. btw this is the only forum that could identify as close as possible based on a blur screenshot. other forums i tried had no idea at all for weeks. this one does it on 2 days. i gonna post a few more items to see if they are of any value. there is some office chair, a standing lamp and a few armchair.

and i realised a typo, they bought 2 chairs for 12k not one.

I'll bet that they looked a bit more substantial back when they were wearing their original textile, and upholstered correctly.

Offer 3K US- if you LOVE them & they are sound, structurally. In my view THAT would be a major take for them.Lord only knows why there would be naugahyde(if leather-even worse!) with poorly done staples. That is surely IW form, but still, need a low angle, profile, level full rear shot to id these accurately for you. The whole asking $$ is a clown dance. GL!

absolutely grateful for all the addicts comments and advice. i have successfully completed the purchase for 2.2k usd and i got them to throw in a fairly new Maxdivani sofa and 2 single seater sofa. i told them the shortcomings in their 12k chairs.
